Silicon is a nonmetallic element found in plants animals and most living organisms. It is ubiquitous in the environment andin the earth.


In humans, silicon is one of the most abundant trace elements after iron and zinc, however, the exact role of silicon in human health is currently not known. Silicon is found in connective tissues, including aorta, trachea, tendon, bone and skin.

Scientific Data:

Silicon is found in hair, skin and nails and has therefore been studied for potential roles for skin & hair health. Silicon has been found to accumulate in the protective cuticle layer of hair.
