From humble origins in the suburbs of Melbourne, Australia, Swisse is now a global wellness brand.
After an international trip in the 1960s to learn about the latest developments in natural medicine, Australian businessman and entrepreneur Kevin Ring was inspired to develop his own range of herbal and vitamin supplements back in Australia.
1991 marked a big milestone for Swisse when we launched our flagship product, Swisse Women’s Ultivite. Formulated specifically for women and made with premium quality ingredients, it was hailed as the ‘Rolls Royce’ of women’s multivitamins. Four years later, the release of Swisse Men’s Ultivite cemented the company’s place as a market leader in multivitamins.
The early 1990s also saw the unique Swisse company culture gain definition with the introduction of the 4Ps and H&H charter developed by the inspirational Michael Saba. Michael served as Swisse Managing Director from 2000-2007.
Swisse soon expanded its presence in the vitamin and supplement industry, developing, rigorously testing and then releasing 200+ products to eager customers.
In 2008, Radek Sali, the son of integrative medicine pioneer Professor Avni Sali, joined Swisse and brought with him a progressive approach to company culture and his extraordinary business acumen, which has seen him become one of the most celebrated CEO’s in Australia.
Under Radek’s leadership, Swisse became an Australian success story – a truly global brand, inspiring millions around the world to live healthier and happier. He has led Swisse into the number 1 position in the Australian market, and guided his team to deliver a product that is now number 1 in China’s online market.
At the end of 2016, Radek made the decision to depart Swisse and hand the reins over to new Managing Director, Oliver Horn. Oliver is passionate about living and promoting a healthy company culture and is committed to the ongoing cultivation of the famous Swisse values. He is best placed to lead Swisse on the path of its global journey and to continue Radek’s vision to become the world’s leading proven, premium and aspirational wellness brand.
